How Batman: Arkham Shadow Plot is Set?
Here is the official description of ‘Batman: Arkham Shadow’:
It’s the Fourth of July, and Gotham City is under attack by a new threat: the mysterious Rat King and his cultish devotees. As widespread rioting engulfs the city, Batman races to prevent this so-called “Day of Wrath,” but it all goes wrong.
Experience Gotham City like never before in this immersive, full-length entry in the Arkham franchise. Set roughly 2 years after the events of Batman: Arkham Origins, you’ll experience the origins of such iconic characters as The Scarecrow, Harley Quinn, and more.
The game is currently in development by Camouflaj (“Iron Man VR”) and Oculus Studios, in partnership with Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and DC.
Speaking to Eurogamer, Camouflaj boss Ryan Payton, said “I was taken aback by how unremorseful and violent Batman was in Arkham Origins, and I really loved Roger Craig Smith’s performance.” Payton added, “I thought – Batman post-Origins is definitely in a very ripe state to go through some really difficult times given his arrogance and lack of remorse and empathy for his opposing forces.”
Payton continued, “There’s one part of the game I don’t think we’re going to talk about—even up to launch—which was [Warner Bros.] really pushing us to do something different. One of the key elements of Batman Arkham is the element of surprise, and we wanted to do something similar with Arkham Shadow.”
‘Batman: Arkham Shadow’ will be released exclusively for Meta Quest 3 this fall.
