Following the famous skydive in Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One, Tom Cruise is now performing another risky stunt for the upcoming Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning movie. He has shared a new behind-the-scenes look at him performing this stunt for the final Mission: Impossible film.
On X (formerly Twitter), Cruise shared an image of himself underwater, training and holding his breath, and wrote, “The training and preparation we put into this film is a culmination of all that came before it. From the depths to the skies, I can’t wait to share more with you.” See the image below.
Directed by Christopher McQuarrie and co-written by McQuarrie and Erik Jendresen, the film stars Cruise as Ethan Hunt, Ving Rhames as Luther Stickell, Henry Czerny as Eugene Kittridge, Simon Pegg as Benji Dunn, Vanessa Kirby as Alanna Mitsopolis, Hayley Atwell as Grace, Esai Morales as Gabriel, Pom Klementieff as Paris, Shea Whigham as Jasper Briggs, Greg Tarzan Davis as Degas, Mariela Garriga as Marie, Rolf Saxon as William Donloe, Holt McCallany as Bernstein, Nick Offerman as Sydney, and Frederick Schmidt as Zola Mitsopolis. Additionally, Mark Gatiss and Charles Parnell return as the heads of the NSA and NRO from Dead Reckoning Part One, respectively, while Janet McTeer, Hannah Waddingham, Lucy Tulugarjuk, Katy O’Brian, Tramell Tillman, and Stephen Oyoung have been cast in undisclosed roles.
Mission: Impossible 8 is the direct sequel to Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One (2023) and the eighth installment in the Mission: Impossible film series.
