Marvel Studios has released the first trailer for the Ironheart series, starring Dominique Thorne and Anthony Ramos. Riri Williams returns, armed with new tech and a mission all her own. She’s building her own legacy in the MCU, with the series set to premiere on June 24 on Disney+.

In the trailer, Riri Williams is seen creating N.A.T.A.L.I.E. — an artificial intelligence system, much like Tony Stark’s J.A.R.V.I.S. or F.R.I.D.A.Y. In Marvel Comics, N.A.T.A.L.I.E. appears to reference Natalie Washington — Riri’s best friend — who was tragically killed in a drive-by shooting. Watch the trailer below.

The trailer also offers a first look at Ramos as The Hood, who appears to be the main villain of the series. In the comics, Parker Robbins — also known as The Hood — starts out as a low-level crook but quickly rises through the criminal underworld after stealing a demon’s magical cloak and boots, which grant him powerful mystical abilities. In a recent interview, Marvel’s Head of Streaming, Brad Winderbaum, revealed, “There’s a full practical suit.” He added, “It doesn’t obviously do all the crazy things that the suit does, but we used a lot of techniques that go all the way back to the first Iron Man film, where we actually had a practical suit on set.”

Here’s the plot details for Ironheart:

Set after the events of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Marvel Television’s Ironheart pits technology against magic when Riri Williams (Thorne)—a young, genius inventor determined to make her mark on the world—returns to her hometown of Chicago. Her unique take on building iron suits is brilliant, but in pursuit of her ambitions, she finds herself wrapped up with the mysterious yet charming Parker Robbins aka ‘The Hood’ (Ramos).

The show, created by Chinaka Hodge for Disney+. In the series, Thorne will play the role of Riri Williams/Ironheart. It also stars Ramos as Parker Robbins/The Hood, Sacha Baron Cohen as Mephisto, Alden Ehrenreich as Ezekiel “Zeke” Stane, Jim Rash as the Dean of MIT, Lyric Ross as Williams’s best friend, Manny Montana, Ehrenreich, Shea Couleé, Zoe Terakes, Regan Aliyah as Zelma Stanton, Shakira Barrera, and Sonia Denis.

When does Marvel’s Ironheart premiere?

Ironheart will consist of six episodes and will premiere with a three-episode debut on June 24 at 6 p.m. PT / 9 p.m. ET, exclusively on Disney+.
