According to insider Daniel Richtman, on his Patreon post he revealed, “Avengers: Doomsday is in the final stage of production and expected to wrap filming this week.” Also, a new plot update reveals, “In Avengers: Doomsday, the X-Men universe is on a path to destroy other universes — including the MCU’s Earth-616.”

Also, Doctor Doom is said to have a “vendetta against the Multiverse” in Avengers: Doomsday.
Filming began in April 2025 at Pinewood Studios in England. There are about 13 months remaining until the film’s release. There is also a possibility of reshoots occurring within a few months for actors whose schedules conflict with each other. There are rumors that Avengers: Doomsday production began without a completed script, and Kevin Feige himself said that there are daily rewrites happening during production. Also, Pedro Pascal, Chris Hemsworth, Alan Cumming, and more have completed filming.
Most recently, Disney China revealed the plot synopsis for Avengers: Doomsday. Here it is:
“Doctor Doom has officially arrived on the Marvel Cinematic Universe stage. This villain, a master of cutting-edge science and powerful magic, will unleash a cascading crisis across the multiverse. Marvel’s most iconic actor, Robert Downey Jr., also returns as Doctor Doom!“

In an interview, Joe Russo said, “It’s all in London, we’re shooting them fairly back-to-back, it’s a lot of work again, we may or may not survive, we’ll see. But we’re very excited about it. We found a way into the story that we think is gonna be challenging for audiences, it’s challenging for us to execute. And it’s really exciting for us, it gets us out of bed to do it.”
“I mean, that would probably be giving too much away. I think we’re always looking for new faces because there are always new stories to tell. I think these movies are gonna be a surprise to people,” he added. “We found a way into the story that’s very exciting to us but very radical. It’s going to challenge audiences.”
The official cast members of the film include Downey Jr. as Doctor Doom, Paul Rudd as Ant-Man, Simu Liu as Shang-Chi, Tom Hiddleston as Loki, Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova, Danny Ramirez as Falcon, Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes, Winston Duke as M’Baku, Hemsworth as Thor, Letitia Wright as Black Panther, Tenoch Huerta Mejía as Namor, Anthony Mackie as Captain America, David Harbour as Red Guardian, Wyatt Russell as U.S. Agent, and Hannah John-Kamen as Ghost.
