Warning: This article contains rumors and potential spoilers for Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
New set images from Marvel’s Spider-Man: Brand New Day reveal Tom Holland and Zendaya spotted with fans during filming at Pinewood Studios in the UK.

In the images, Holland is seen wearing his Spider-Man suit while posing with a young fan, and next to him is Zendaya in a dark coat. It appears to be a behind-the-scenes location, with crew members or visitors visible in the background.

According to a report from The Cosmic Circus, Destin Daniel Cretton is directing the Spider-Man: Brand New Day, and if it succeeds, he may continue directing future installments in the franchise.

Sadie Sink is rumored to be part of the cast, possibly playing Shathra, though her role is still unconfirmed. Yelena Belova will appear in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, but this doesn’t necessarily suggest future crossovers involving Spider-Man. MJ’s role in the film is expected to be significant, and it’s reported that MIT will be portrayed as a villainous institution. Meanwhile, Bruce Banner (Mark Ruffalo) works there as a consultant, unaware that his research is being used to create gamma-symbiote hybrids. The villains Scorpion (Michael Mando), Tombstone (Marvin Jones III), Boomerang, and Ramrod emerge from failed Helix Project experiments.
Looking ahead, the potential for crossovers involving Spider-Man, Hulk, and Punisher in Avengers: Doomsday or Secret Wars will depend on their individual character arcs.
The film stars Holland as Peter Parker/Spider-Man, with Zendaya and Jacob Batalon reprising their roles as MJ Watson and Ned Leeds, and Tony Revolori returning as Flash Thompson. Sink joins the cast alongside Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle (a.k.a. The Punisher) and Ruffalo as Bruce Banner/The Hulk. Liza Colón-Zayas and Tramell Tillman have also been cast in undisclosed roles, while Mando returns as Mac Gargan from Spider-Man: Homecoming and Jones III has been confirmed to play the role of Tombstone.
Here’s the new synopsis for Spider-Man: Brand New Day:
After the world has forgotten his name, Peter Parker (Holland) begins a new chapter in his life — balancing college classes, part-time work, and his responsibility as New York’s friendly neighborhood Spider-Man. But when a mysterious force begins to unravel the city from the inside out, Peter finds himself caught between powerful enemies, old legacies, and unexpected allies. As shadows from the past creep into his present, he must redefine what it truly means to be a hero — on his own.
The film is produced by Amy Pascal, Rachel O’Connor, Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, and Mitch Bell.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day is scheduled to hit theaters and IMAX on July 31, 2026.
