Warning: This post contains potential spoilers for Marvel’s Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
It’s a big question from the fans: who is Sadie Sink playing in Marvel’s Spider-Man: Brand New Day? And now we have leaked footage from the set showing her character being arrested.
New leaked footage from the set of Spider-Man: Brand New Day in Ravenscourt Park in London revealed armed police officers rushing toward a woman and throwing her to the ground.
According to scooper MyTimeToShineH, the character they arrested on set is Sadie Sink, and “she’s dangerous.”
In the footage, Sink appears to be wearing the same green and yellow coat and camo pants seen in some of the set images that leaked last month. Also, at that time, footage leaked showing that Sink’s character is taken away by the Department of Damage Control.

According to insider Majestic’s report, Sink is rumored to play the role of Shathra, a Wasp-Goddess who feeds on Spider-Totem energy, corrupting and possessing her victims to increase her own power. In Brand New Day, her character would be an entity tied to the Web of Life and Destiny, capable of sensing multiversal anomalies. Sink is also recently confirmed to be part of Avengers: Secret Wars.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day is directed by Destin Daniel Cretton from a screenplay by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers. The film stars Tom Holland as Peter Parker/Spider-Man, with Zendaya and Jacob Batalon reprising their roles as MJ Watson and Ned Leeds. Sink joins the cast alongside Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle (a.k.a. The Punisher) and Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner/The Hulk. Liza Colón-Zayas and Tramell Tillman have also been cast in undisclosed roles, while Michael Mando returns as Mac Gargan from Spider-Man: Homecoming and Jones III has been confirmed to play the role of Tombstone. Additionally, Florence Pugh’s Yelena Belova will appear in the movie.
Here’s the new synopsis for Spider-Man: Brand New Day:
After the world has forgotten his name, Peter Parker (Holland) begins a new chapter in his life — balancing college classes, part-time work, and his responsibility as New York’s friendly neighborhood Spider-Man. But when a mysterious force begins to unravel the city from the inside out, Peter finds himself caught between powerful enemies, old legacies, and unexpected allies. As shadows from the past creep into his present, he must redefine what it truly means to be a hero — on his own.
The film is produced by Amy Pascal, Rachel O’Connor, Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, and Mitch Bell.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day is scheduled to hit theaters and IMAX on July 31, 2026.
