A new rumored plot detail for Marvel’s Spider-Man: Brand New Day has been leaked online.

The leaked plot reportedly reveals a darker Spider-Man story in which Peter Parker (Tom Holland) struggles with isolation and unstable powers after No Way Home as he faces Damage Control, Tombstone, Scorpion, and The Hand, teams up with Punisher (Jon Bernthal) and Jean Grey, undergoes a disturbing mutation tied to his emotions, seeks help from Bruce Banner (Mark Ruffalo), and learns that he must balance being Spider-Man with being Peter Parker.

Here are the plot details shared by insider MAJESTIC on X:

In Spider-Man: Brand New Day, Peter is a ghost after No Way Home. He saves the city, and no one knows his identity. Several Spider-Man battles are shown, including Boomerang, Rhino, Chameleon, Tarantula, and Ramrod, as brief scenes explaining what he has been doing. Peter only focuses on being Spider-Man and ignores his personal life because he thinks MJ is better off without him and that Ned doesn’t need him anymore. He also struggles with his powers. His emotions affect his abilities, his webbing starts to become organic, and his body begins to change.

The organization Damage Control appears as the government wants to control mutants and believes Spider-Man should be controlled. Sadie Sink plays Jean Grey, who is pursued by Damage Control after they discover she is a mutant and want to control Jean Grey’s powers. Jean wants to expose Damage Control, believes Spider-Man is reckless, and when Spider-Man appears, everything gets worse.

Jean knows Damage Control is also after Spider-Man, which is why she wants to stay away. Punisher and Jean work together, as they both want to expose Damage Control, and Punisher protects Jean.

Tombstone is the true villain who wants to destabilize the city and finances the group The Hand, which is made up of ninjas wearing red suits. Damage Control is transporting Scorpion when The Hand attacks with the objective to free Scorpion. Spider-Man tries to stop them, and Punisher helps Spider-Man. The convoy arrives at the prison, and at the entrance, the convoy crashes. After the crash, the prisoner escapes.

The Hand attacks the entire prison and wants to free more prisoners. Spider-Man fights many ninjas while having problems with his powers, and Punisher saves him from the ninjas as they both manage to escape alive.

Peter’s powers continue to worsen and become increasingly unstable as his body undergoes a metamorphosis, and he ends up inside a cocoon, a web cocoon like in the comics, all generated by Peter’s emotions. The film touches on themes such as loneliness, stress, and anxiety and how these affect Peter Parker. Peter seeks help from an Avenger, Professor Bruce Banner (Hulk), who tells him he will create a serum, but he needs time.

Tombstone wants to kill Spider-Man, as Spider-Man interferes with his plans. Tombstone enhances Scorpion’s powers, and Scorpion decides to kill Spider-Man. The battle features impressive fight scenes and Spider-Man’s best battle, where in the end Spider-Man defeats Scorpion, but Peter’s powers become even more unstable, allowing Scorpion to escape.

Bruce Banner is very stressed as Peter pressures him about the serum, and Damage Control is also searching for Hulk, which triggers a new personality as the Gray Hulk emerges. Banner loses control, with Gray Hulk destroying everything while Damage Control tries to capture him and Punisher and Spider-Man try to help. Jean appears and calms Banner with her powers, and Banner regains control of Hulk.

Suddenly, Peter loses control and, in front of everyone, transforms into a spider with four additional arms and two new eyes, mutating into a giant spider, all similar to the 1990s animated series. Jean enters Peter’s mind and explains that he can’t just be Spider-Man and that it’s important to be Peter Parker too.

After the internal struggle, Peter calms down, and the mutation begins to fade as Bruce Banner finishes the serum and they stabilize Peter’s mutation. Jean continues her journey separately and thanks them for trusting her. Peter decides to look for MJ, but MJ has a new boyfriend, Harry Osborn. Peter tells her what happened in No Way Home and understands he can be more than just Spider-Man, and he also looks for his friend Ned.

In the final scene, Tombstone meets with a buyer in a very dark place, guarded by Scorpion, as the buyer slides over a sealed vial containing the symbiote, the fragment that remained in the MCU, and Tombstone looks at Scorpion.

Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton from a screenplay by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers. The film stars Holland as Peter Parker/Spider-Man, with Zendaya and Jacob Batalon reprising their roles as MJ Watson and Ned Leeds. Sadie Sink joins the cast alongside Bernthal as Frank Castle (a.k.a. The Punisher) and Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner/The Hulk. Liza Colón-Zayas and Tramell Tillman have also been cast in undisclosed roles, while Michael Mando returns as Mac Gargan from Spider-Man: Homecoming and Jones III has been confirmed to play the role of Tombstone. Additionally, Florence Pugh’s Yelena Belova will appear in the movie.

Here’s the new synopsis for Spider-Man: Brand New Day:

After the world has forgotten his name, Peter Parker (Holland) begins a new chapter in his life — balancing college classes, part-time work, and his responsibility as New York’s friendly neighborhood Spider-Man. But when a mysterious force begins to unravel the city from the inside out, Peter finds himself caught between powerful enemies, old legacies, and unexpected allies. As shadows from the past creep into his present, he must redefine what it truly means to be a hero — on his own.

The film is produced by Amy Pascal, Rachel O’Connor, Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, and Mitch Bell.
