Marvel Studios has big surprises planned for Spider-Man: Brand New Day and Avengers: Secret Wars. It is also reported that a major villain will return in Secret Wars.
According to insider Daniel Richtman, in a post on his Patreon, Spider-Man: Brand New Day is reportedly expected to feature additional villains that haven’t been revealed or reported yet.

Marvel Studios reportedly plans to introduce a new Black Panther in Avengers: Secret Wars. Marvel has recently met with actors such as Aaron Pierre for the role. Scooper James Mack also confirmed that “T’Challa is one of the main protagonists of Avengers: Secret Wars.“
Avengers: Secret Wars reportedly could be split into two parts, depending on how successful Avengers: Doomsday is. Basically, the cast list is so massive that one movie would end up being three hours of cameos and only ten minutes of actual plot.

The insider also reported that Thanos will appear in Avengers: Secret Wars, following his last appearance in Avengers: Endgame.
Is a Scarlet Witch solo project happening at Marvel Studios?
A Scarlet Witch solo project is reportedly in the works at Marvel Studios. Marvel plans to develop it as part of the Mutant Saga.
Avengers: Secret Wars takes place eight years after the events of Avengers: Doomsday. All timelines and universes converge in the Void, creating Battleworld, which brings together many variations of different characters and new cities called domains. Doctor Doom will create a super-prison to contain villains, heroes, and cosmic entities.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day is directed by Destin Daniel Cretton from a screenplay by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers. The film stars Tom Holland as Peter Parker/Spider-Man, with Zendaya and Jacob Batalon reprising their roles as MJ Watson and Ned Leeds. Sadie Sink joins the cast alongside Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle (a.k.a. The Punisher) and Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner/The Hulk. Liza Colón-Zayas and Tramell Tillman have also been cast in undisclosed roles, while Michael Mando returns as Mac Gargan from Spider-Man: Homecoming and Jones III has been confirmed to play the role of Tombstone. Additionally, Florence Pugh’s Yelena Belova will appear in the movie.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day will hit theaters on July 31, 2026, and Avengers: Secret Wars is scheduled for release on December 17, 2027.
