The ‘Love & Death’ series is based on the true story of Wylie, Texas, housewife Candy Montgomery, who was accused of the brutal axe murder of her friend Betty Gore in 1980. Directed by Lesli Linka Glatter and written by David E. Kelley, based on Evidence of Love: A True Story of Passion and Death in the Suburbs (“Love & Death in Silicon Prairie, Parts I and II) by Jim Atkinson and John Bloom.
The series will premiere on HBO Max on April 27, 2023.
