Disney has released the first trailer and poster for Ice Age 6: Boiling Point. The film follows Manny, Sid, Diego, Ellie, and the rest of the herd on a wild adventure through never-before-seen parts of the dangerous Lost World, filled with dinosaurs, lava, and chaos. Watch the trailer below.
In the trailer, we see dark, smoky skies as an acorn falls from above. Scrat and his baby son then appear and get into a funny fight over the acorn. Scrat finally calms the baby by giving him a smaller acorn. However, their quiet moment is interrupted when a huge volcano erupts. As lava starts flying everywhere, Scrat and Baby Scrat run across floating pieces of ice to escape.
Later, the trailer shows Manny (voiced by Ray Romano), Ellie (voiced by Queen Latifah), Sid (voiced by John Leguizamo), Diego (voiced by Denis Leary), Buck (voiced by Simon Pegg), Crash (voiced by Seann William Scott), and Eddie (voiced by Josh Peck) falling through the clouds in a hilarious free-fall sequence. Manny and Ellie look scared, Sid screams loudly, and Diego tries to stay cool. Meanwhile, Buck, Crash, and Eddie panic as they tumble through the air. The group appears to be heading toward a dangerous world filled with dinosaurs, volcanoes, and lava.
Ice Age: Boiling Point serves as a sequel to Ice Age: Collision Course (2016). It is the sixth feature film in the Ice Age franchise and the fifth main installment in the series. The film is directed by John Donkin (The Ice Age Adventures of Buck Wild) and produced by longtime franchise producer Lori Forte.
20th Century Studios will release Ice Age: Boiling Point in U.S. theaters on February 5, 2027.
