First Look at Hot Toys’ Doctor Doom vs. Fantastic Four Figures for Avengers: Doomsday

Robert Downey Jr.‘s Doctor Doom and the Fantastic Four figures from Avengers: Doomsday have been revealed.

Hot Toys has announced the new Doctor Doom vs. the Fantastic Four action figures. They feature Downey Jr.’s Doctor Doom, Pedro Pascal’s Reed Richards, Vanessa Kirby’s Sue Storm, Joseph Quinn’s Johnny Storm, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach’s Ben Grimm in 1/6th-scale figures.

Along with Doom and the Fantastic Four, the Hot Toys collection now includes Thor, Professor X, Cyclops, Gambit, Magneto, and a Steve Rogers figure with a cracked Mjolnir.

In Avengers: Doomsday, Downey Jr.’s Victor Von Doom will reportedly come from the Fantastic Four’s universe, and the team already knows him from before he was scarred. Doom does not remove his mask during group scenes and has multiple masks. There are also scenes where the audience sees Victor’s face, but the other characters do not.

In a recent interview with Fandango, Joe Russo spoke about Doctor Doom, saying, “He studies his foes. He understands them, and he’s also well-planned. He’s not somebody who just does something off the cuff.” This makes Doom very difficult to defeat.

Joe said, “Doom’s magic is ancient. He is a very powerful character, as you can see in the trailer, and he’s a genius. He studies his foes. He understands them, and he’s also well-planned. He’s not somebody who just does something off the cuff. So, everything is meticulous with him, and he knows that if he’s going to step onto a battlefield against somebody, he has to have the tactical advantage or a power advantage against that person. So, he’s very difficult to beat.”

Directed by the Russo brothers from a screenplay by Stephen McFeely and Michael Waldron.

“Universes collide, and the Multiverse Saga begins its final chapter in Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Doomsday. Beloved heroes from three distinct universes will be set on a deadly collision course and ultimately face an existential threat unlike anything they’ve ever encountered.
