Warning: This post contains potential spoilers for Marvel’s Avengers: Doomsday.
The reshoots for Avengers: Doomsday, which took place last month, have added multiple scenes and changed several sequences. Elizabeth Olsen’s Wanda Maximoff has been heavily rumored to appear in the reshoots, and yes, she is reportedly returning as one of Doctor Doom’s witches.
According to scooper James Mack (via Patreon), new details about Avengers: Doomsday have been revealed. “The scene of Doctor Doom invading the TVA and facing Loki was supposedly filmed during the reshoots of Avengers: Doomsday. The scene was originally meant to happen OFF-SCREEN, but now the sequence will show what really happened.”

In a recent interview with Empire Magazine, the Russo Brothers revealed that Loki will have an important role in Avengers: Doomsday. The directors revealed that Doomsday will introduce a new incarnation of Loki and teased that Loki will remain true to his “God of Mischief” nature.
“The God of Mischief proves to be the God of Mischief. Loki’s one of the most fascinating characters, and he’s had so many incarnations. One of the delights of Doomsday is that you’re going to get a new incarnation of that character.”
Wanda Maximoff Will Be One of the Witches of Latveria in ‘Avengers: Doomsday’
Wanda Maximoff will return in Avengers: Doomsday. She will reportedly be one of the witches of Latveria and serve Doctor Doom. For now, it is unclear how Wanda becomes connected to Latveria or what role this will play in the story. Scooper MyTimeToShineHello says, “They did some more filming for Wanda for the post-credits scene.”

Marvel Studios recently released a new poster for Avengers: Doomsday featuring three Latverian witches. Doctor Doom is not alone, as he has powerful witches by his side. Although one of the witches is speculated to be Wanda, the remaining two are rumored to be disguised versions of Peggy Carter and Sylvie.
Captain Marvel and Monica Rambeau Were Cut From ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ Plans
Carol Danvers and Monica Rambeau were originally planned to have larger roles in Avengers: Doomsday, but those plans were scrapped. The film also reportedly had plans to include more heroes in the battle between the Avengers and the X-Men. However, that version of the battle was abandoned, and the sequence was changed during production.
“Carol Danvers’ mission was reportedly to rescue Monica Rambeau from the X-Men universe. She was also expected to battle Binary, the variant introduced in the post-credits scene of The Marvels.”
