'The Flash' Cameos Revealed (Spoilers Alert, Including CGI Surprises)

‘The Flash‘ is now playing in theaters, featuring an ending that underwent two different versions during its production. The first version, overseen by Toby Emmerich (Chairman of Warner Bros. Pictures Group) and Walter Hamada (President of DC Films), shows Michael Keaton and Sasha Calle at the courthouse. Under the supervision of Michael De Luca (Chairman of MGM) and Pamela Abdy (President of Production at New Line Cinema), the second version closely resembles the first, and it includes Henry Cavill and Gal Gadot‘s characters, Clark Kent and Diana, congratulating Barry at the courthouse. Both were not used in the film; instead, a new one was.

In an interview with Vanity Fair, director Andy Muschietti said that three of the cameos that were cut from ‘The Flash’ included Lynda Carter’s Wonder Woman, Marlon Brando’s Jor-El, and Cesar Romero’s Joker.

The Flash, directed by Andy Muschietti and written by Christina Hodson, the plot is based on the comic book storyline “Flashpoint,” and follows: Worlds collide when the Flash uses his superpowers to travel back in time to change the events of the past. However, when his attempt to save his family inadvertently alters the future, he becomes trapped in a reality in which General Zod has returned, threatening annihilation. With no other superheroes to turn to, the Flash looks to coax a very different Batman out of retirement and rescue an imprisoned Kryptonian—albeit not the one he’s looking for. Read our review.
