A24‘s upcoming horror feature film “Bring Her Back,” directed by Danny and Michael Philippou and starring Sally Hawkins and Billy Barratt, has wrapped filming. Filming began on June 10, as Danny announced, and on August 3, he confirmed the wrap news on Instagram.
In an Instagram post, Michael Philippou shared some images from the shooting spot and wrote, “THAT’S A WRAP on Bring Her Back!!! 41 day shoot. What an incredible experience ? Cannot wait to show you guys this.”
Danny Philippou and Bill Hinzman penned the script. The plot details are kept secret, and the cast also includes Jonah Wren Phillips, Sally-Anne Upton, Stephen Phillips, Sora Wong, and Liam Damons.
“Bring Her Back” marks the second collaboration between Danny and Michael and A24, following “Talk To Me,” which became A24’s highest-grossing horror film domestically.
Last summer, “Talk to Me” was released, which follows a group of teenagers who discover they can contact spirits using a mysterious severed and embalmed hand. The film became A24’s highest-grossing horror film domestically, grossing $91.9 million worldwide against a $4.5 million budget—Additionally, a sequel is currently in development.
