Lionsgate Films has revealed the theatrical release date for Alexandre Aja‘s ‘Never Let Go,’ starring Halle Berry. The film will hit theaters on September 27, 2024. You can check out the poster below.
During CinemaCon 2024, Lionsgate revealed the release date for the film along with their upcoming film slate. ‘Never Let Go’ follows a freaky tale about a mother and her fraternal twins who have never ventured beyond their forested environs: Whenever they leave the cabin, they are bound by rope as they venture into the scary woods.
Directed by Aja from a screenplay by Kevin Coughlin and Ryan Grassby, the film also stars Percy Daggs IV and Anthony B. Jenkins.
Berry said (Via Deadline), “It was a creepy environment that I had never seen before.” Berry added, “I’m a bona fide adrenaline junkie—the bigger the zipline, the bigger the jump — I’m your girl.”
When Lionsgate Motion Picture Chair Adam Fogelson asked the actress about drawing on her instincts as a mother for the role, Berry replied, “This movie reminds me how I would protect my children in this life. We often say I would take a bullet for my kids. Would you take a knife for your kids? What would you do to protect your children?”
Produced by Shawn Levy, Dan Cohen, Aja, and Dan Levine, the film is a production of 21 Laps Entertainment.
‘Never Let Go’ is set to hit theaters on September 27th.
