When Will Alien: Romulus be Available on DVD, 4K UHD, and Blu-ray?

Alien: Romulus will be released on DVD, 4K UHD, and Blu-ray on December 3, 2024, and is available for pre-order now on Amazon. The release includes bonus features such as extensive behind-the-scenes content, additional scenes, and a new conversation with Ridley Scott and Fede Álvarez.

Álvarez directs from a screenplay he wrote with frequent collaborator Rodo Sayagues, based on characters created by Dan O’Bannon and Ronald Shusett.

This truly terrifying sci-fi horror-thriller takes the legendary Alien franchise back to its iconic roots. While scavenging the deep ends of a derelict space station, a group of young colonizers come face-to-face with the deadliest life form in the universe. Warning: Some flashing-lights scenes in this film may affect photosensitive viewers.

The film stars Cailee Spaeny (Priscilla), David Jonsson (Agatha Christie’s Murder is Easy), Archie Renaux (Shadow and Bone), Isabela Merced (The Last of Us), Spike Fearn (Aftersun), and Aileen Wu.

Produced by Ridley Scott (Napoleon), who directed the original Alien and produced and directed the series’ entries Prometheus and Alien: Covenant, along with Michael Pruss (Boston Strangler) and Walter Hill (Alien). Executive producers include Alvarez, Elizabeth Cantillon (Charlie’s Angels), Brent O’Connor (Bullet Train), and Tom Moran (Unstoppable).

Alien: Romulus was theatrically released in the United States by 20th Century Studios on August 16, 2024. The film has grossed $342 million worldwide.
