Andrew Garfield, who plays Spider-Man in “The Amazing Spider-Man” series and “Spider-Man: No Way Home,” revealed that his version of Spider-Man’s future is open-ended.
Garfield believes there’s a continuous story happening in some universe, offering endless potential for the character and other iterations. So, Spider-Man is definitely out there doing something.
Andrew Garfield Addresses Future as Spider-Man: “The Story Never Ends”
According to One Take News, Garfield addressed the possibility of returning as Spider-Man in an excerpt from the book “Spider-Man: No Way Home – The Art of the Movie.” He said, “The story never ends… Whether we film it or not, there’s a story happening in a universe somewhere, and there’s endless potential with this character and other iterations. So yeah, he’s definitely out there doing something.“
Many expect Garfield to come back as Spider-Man in “The Amazing Spider-Man 3” after his appearance in “Spider-Man: No Way Home,” but there’s been no official word from Sony/Marvel about his solo film. Meanwhile, a new trilogy for Tom Holland’s Spider-Man has been confirmed.
“The Amazing Spider-Man 2” swings onto Disney+ on August 11, 2023.
