Apple TV+ has released the first 3 minutes of ‘Monarch: Legacy of Monsters,’ a 10-episode series based on Godzilla and Titans. The show is set to premiere on November 17, 2023.
According to the Apple TV+ synopsis for ‘Monarch: Legacy of Monsters’, “Following the thunderous battle between Godzilla and the Titans that leveled San Francisco and the shocking new reality that monsters are real, the series explores one family’s journey to uncover its buried secrets and a legacy linking them to the secret organization known as Monarch.”
‘Monarch’ shares the universe with movies like Godzilla, Kong: Skull Island, Godzilla: King of the Monsters, Godzilla vs. Kong, and the upcoming Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire. Chris Black and Matt Fraction co-developed the series, with Matt Shakman directing the first two episodes. All three also serve as executive producers, along with Andy Goddard, Brad Van Arragon, Andrew Colville, Joby Harold, and Tory Tunnell from Safehouse Pictures. Hiro Matsuoka and Takemasa Arita are executive producers representing Toho Co., Ltd., the owner of Godzilla.
The series stars Anna Sawai as Cate Randa, Ren Watabe as Kentaro, Kiersey Clemons as May Olowe-Hewitt, Joe Tippett as Tim, Elisa Lasowski as Duvall, Kurt Russell as Lee Shaw, Wyatt Russell as young Lee Shaw, Mari Yamamoto as Keiko Randa, John Goodman as William Randa, Anders Holm as young William Randa, and Josh Collins as Sabitha.
‘Monarch: Legacy of Monsters’ will premiere on Apple TV+ on November 17, 2023.
