Plaza was nominated for Best Lead Performance for her role in the crime-thriller film Emily The Criminal (2022). She was also listed as one of the several celebrity presenters. The film was nominated for four Independent Spirit Awards, including Best First Feature, with John Patton Ford winning Best First Screenplay.
For Best Lead Performance, Cate Blanchett (Tár), Mia Goth (Pearl), Regina Hall (Honk for Jesus. Save Your Soul), Dale Dickey (A Long Song), Michelle Yeoh (Everything Everywhere All At Once), Taylor Russell (Bones and All), Andrea Riseborough (To Leslie), and two men, Paul Mescal (Aftersun) and Jeremy Pope (The Inspection), are among the nominees for Best Lead Performance.
Aubrey Plaza is best known for her deadpan comedic style, which has made her a popular figure in both film and television. Plaza has appeared in numerous movies, including: “Safety Not Guaranteed” (2012), “The To Do List” (2013), “Life After Beth” (2014), “Dirty Grandpa” (2016), “Ingrid Goes West” (2017), and “Child’s Play” (2019).
