Marvel’s Avengers: Doomsday is reportedly undergoing additional filming in April 2026. Actors who were unable to film last year are expected to join the set.

The scooper also confirmed that in Avengers: Doomsday, Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man fights Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine while their Earths are about to crash into each other during the incursions.
Benedict Cumberbatch is confirmed to return as Doctor Strange in Avengers: Doomsday. The character is being described as “Doom’s wizard sidekick” in the film, and he has already filmed his scenes.
Directed by the Russo brothers from a screenplay by their longtime collaborator Stephen McFeely and Michael Waldron.

“Doctor Doom has officially arrived on the Marvel Cinematic Universe stage. This villain, a master of cutting-edge science and powerful magic, will unleash a cascading crisis across the multiverse. Marvel’s most iconic actor, Robert Downey Jr., also returns as Doctor Doom!”

Avengers: Doomsday will be released in theaters and IMAX across the United States on December 18, 2026, and Avengers: Secret Wars is scheduled for release on December 17, 2027.
