Marvel’s Avengers: Doomsday will be a fan-service movie like Deadpool & Wolverine. Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man is set to return in the film, along with Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine and Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool.
According to scooper MyTimeToShineHello, in Avengers: Doomsday, Jackman’s Wolverine and Reynolds’ Deadpool will be sent to Maguire’s Spider-Man universe to destroy it. There will reportedly be an epic fight between Spider-Man and Wolverine.
It is also reported that the huge and tragic battle between the two ends in tragedy. Will Wolverine scratch Maguire’s Spider-Man? Let’s hope not.
There are rumors that the X-Men travel to an alternate version of Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man universe, confront him, and ultimately destroy his world. This branch timeline was reportedly created in Spider-Man: No Way Home, where Doc Ock and Green Goblin were cured before being sent back to their original universe. However, this timeline was never meant to exist and ends up triggering an incursion, forcing the X-Men to destroy it.
Directed by the Russo brothers from a screenplay by their longtime collaborator Stephen McFeely and Michael Waldron.
