Note: This post contains potential spoilers for Avengers: Doomsday.
The book From Endgame to Doomsday: A Marvel Studios Visual Dictionary: Avengers, Allies, and Foes has revealed the first look at Doctor Doom’s Book of Spells and new descriptions of confirmed team-ups in Avengers: Doomsday, including Yelena Belova and Gambit, Thor and Reed Richards, and Black Panther and The Thing.
The first look at Doctor Doom’s Book of Spells includes the following description: “Not much is known about Doom’s Book of Spells, except that its secrets provide him with immense power.” See it below.
The description of Yelena Belova and Gambit’s team-up in Avengers: Doomsday reads:
“Two charismatic, scrappy fighters, both Yelena Belova and Gambit are used to working with groups of talented, yet starkly different individuals who must unite for a common cause. Their skill sets will be pushed to the limit as they team up in the fight to save their universes.”
The description of Thor and Reed Richards’ team-up in Avengers: Doomsday reads:
“Both used to taking the lead, albeit with different areas of expertise, Thor and Reed stand together against a crisis of an unimaginable scale. Thor’s battle-tested bravery and optimistic leadership pair well with Reed Richards’s scientific mind and measured approach.
However, neither takes this imminent peril lightly, nor assumes victory. Thor has not forgotten the heroes he has seen fall to far lesser villains and Reed is intimately aware of the sacrifices expected of those who protect their worlds.”
Finally, the description of Black Panther and Ben Grimm’s team-up in Avengers: Doomsday reads:
“Neither Shuri nor Ben Grimm ever expected to become their planet’s defenders. As the new Black Panther, Shuri draws on her extraordinary fighting skills, her unparalleled intellect, and her unique ability to unite those around her to stand head-on against the rising threat.
Ben is a skilled pilot, using his talents to explore the stars. Both are thrust into a spotlight they never asked for, yet accept their new responsibilities as protectors of their homes. Now they must stand together to confront a force far greater than even Thanos or Galactus.”
Below, you can see the new Jeep ad for Avengers: Doomsday, featuring Doctor Doom, Captain America, Thor, Johnny Storm, Nightcrawler, Cyclops, Sentinels, The Thing, and H.E.R.B.I.E.
Directed by Anthony and Joe Russo and written by Michael Waldron, Stephen McFeely, Chris McKenna, and Erik Sommers.
“As a new existential threat emerges, courageous teams from three universes must come together to prevent a catastrophic event. The Avengers, the New Avengers, the Wakandans, the Fantastic Four, and the X-Men will need to put aside their suspicions of each other to work together against a force more powerful than any of these groups have faced before. Their choices and actions in this crucial moment will lay the foundation for the future of the Multiverse.”
