Hot Toys has revealed the first full look at the Sentinel collectible figure from Avengers: Doomsday. Made from vinyl with metallic purple and gray paint, the figure stands 60 cm (23.6 inches) tall.
According to Hot Toys (via Instagram), the Sentinel figure features LED light-up eyes with switchable green and orange lights. It includes interchangeable face and chest plates, including battle-damaged options, 18 points of articulation, and six interchangeable hands.
The set also includes a miniature Doctor Doom figure and a rocky terrain-themed display base.
“Towering, destructive, and packed with display options, the Sentinel Jumbo Sofvi Figure is a must-have centerpiece for your Avengers: Doomsday collection! Pre-order now to unleash the mutant hunters.”
According to plot rumors, Doctor Doom will use his magical runes to control the Sentinels from the X-Men universe in Avengers: Doomsday. Doom unleashes around six Sentinels against the Avengers and X-Men, forcing both teams to unite against the threat. When a Sentinel injures Yelena, Bob transforms into Sentry and uses his powers to destroy the Sentinels.
In a recent interview with Empire magazine, the Russo brothers said Avengers: Doomsday will feature two Avengers teams: one official team led by the new Captain America, Sam Wilson, and one unofficial team, formerly known as the Thunderbolts and now called the New Avengers.
The teams will also receive reinforcements from the Fantastic Four and a group of X-Men who appear to be the remaining members of the original team from the Fox movies, which helped launch the superhero movie era more than 25 years ago. But that’s where things get tricky.
Below, you can see artwork showing Ant-Man fighting a Sentinel, while Thor, the Fantastic Four, the X-Men, and the Avengers also battle the Sentinels.
Directed by Anthony and Joe Russo and written by Michael Waldron, Stephen McFeely, Chris McKenna, and Erik Sommers.
