Warning: This post contains potential spoilers for Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars.
Marvel’s Avengers: Secret Wars is currently in pre-production and is expected to begin filming soon. A new report reveals that Secret Wars will be set in “a more medieval version of what Wanda Maximoff did in Westview.”
According to insider Alex Perez (via The Cosmic Circus), Avengers: Secret Wars may begin with a medieval-inspired version of Battleworld. The setting is described as a darker version of what Wanda created in the WandaVision series, with Doctor Doom (Robert Downey Jr.) controlling most of reality.

Alex claims that the concept is like WandaVision mixed with What If…? The Avengers Assembled in 1602? Most heroes and villains are expected to live under Doom’s rule.
The Defenders and the new Guardians of the Galaxy may only appear if they are part of Doom’s court. One of Marvel’s core themes in Secret Wars is said to be sacrifice, morality, and how far heroes will go to save the people they love.
The main heroes and survivors in Avengers: Secret Wars will be younger. They are being teased as “much, much, much younger.”
Avengers: Doomsday Could Feature Massive X-Men Losses

Recently, scooper James Mack reported that most of the X-Men members die in Avengers: Doomsday while dealing with incursions.
Only Mystique, Nightcrawler, Cyclops, Wolverine, Deadpool, Professor X, Magneto, Beast, Gambit, and one other character are reportedly left alive.
Directed by the Russo brothers from a screenplay by their longtime collaborator Stephen McFeely and Michael Waldron.
Here’s the plot details for Avengers: Doomsday:
“Robert Downey Jr., who led the Avengers series as Iron Man, makes a shocking return as the villainous scientist Doctor Doom. Familiar heroes like Steve Rogers and Thor are joined by a new generation of heroes, hinting at the largest assembly in history.”
