Will Milla Jovovich Return to the New Resident Evil Film?
Milla Jovovich—known for her role as Alice in the Resident Evil films—expressed her willingness to return to the series despite the Netflix reboot. In an interview with SFX Magazine, she said, “I mean, I never say never. Resident Evil was always such a wonderful part of my life. I love Alice and I love the franchise… and I love Netflix! So, I mean, there doesn’t seem to be a downside.” Her remarks reflect her affection for the character and the franchise—suggesting she would be open to revisiting it if the opportunity arises.
Cregger made his feature film directorial debut with 2022’s Barbarian, a horror film that received critical acclaim from both critics and audiences. His upcoming directorial project, Weapons, starring Josh Brolin and Julia Garner, is currently in post-production and is set to hit theaters on January 16, 2026, from Warner Bros. Pictures.
