It has been reported that ‘Scream VII‘ is in the works. According to a recent update from production weekly, filming for ‘Scream VII’ is set to occur in the first quarter of 2024 in Montreal, Canada, with a wrap-up date around April 19th, 2024. The film’s working title is “Blackbird” and will be set in New York.
Christopher Landon will take over as director from Radio Silence’s Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett. As per reports, Radio Silence was interested in directing Scream VII, but their schedule was occupied by a secret Universal Studios monster movie. Due to SAG-AFTRA and WGA strikes, the production of Scream VII might take a while to begin. A lot of film production was halted to support the strikes.
In ‘Scream VII’, Neve Campbell returns as Sidney Prescott, she missed ‘Scream VI’. The returning cast also includes Melissa Barrera as Sam Carpenter, Jenna Ortega as Tara Carpenter, Hayden Panettiere as Kirby Reed, Jasmin Savoy Brown as Mindy Meeks-Martin, Mason Gooding as Chad Meeks-Martin, Josh Segarra as Danny Brackett, and Courteney Cox as Gale Weathers.
How does ‘Scream VI’ conclude?
At the end of ‘Scream VI,’ following the Woodsboro killings by Richie Kirsch and Amber Freeman, Sam, and Tara Carpenter, survivors living in New York City, confront a new Ghostface plot orchestrated by the Bailey family, eventually overcoming them and choosing to move forward with their lives.
