Warner Bros. Pictures screened the first trailer for Bong Joon-ho‘s ‘Mickey 17‘ at CinemaCon 2024. Robert Pattinson and Joon-ho attended the special presentation at CinemaCon.
In ‘Mickey 17’, a man works for a corporation that sends him on suicide missions where he must die. Joon-Ho explains that he adapted ‘Mickey 7’ into ‘Mickey 17’ because he ended up killing Pattinson 10 more times than originally planned.

Joon-ho on the reason behind the title for ‘Mickey 17’. Joon-ho said, “It is based on a sci-fi novel called Mickey 7. We changed it to 17 because I killed him ten times more.”
Pattinson said, “I have been the biggest fan of Bong Joon-ho for many, many years. I got sent the script and was told that I was going to love it but the part would be impossible”
