20th Century Studios revealed the first trailer for “Boston Strangler,” starring Keira Knightley and Carrie Coon. The film is based on the true story of the Boston Strangler, who killed 13 women in Boston, Massachusetts, in the 1960s. Watch the trailer below.
Directed by Matt Ruskin. The film stars Keira Knightley as Loretta McLaughlin, Carrie Coon as Jean Cole, Alessandro Nivola, Chris Cooper, David Dastmalchian, Robert John Burke, Morgan Spector, and Bill Camp.
Boston Strangler plot follows Loretta McLaughlin (Keira Knightley), a reporter for the Record-American newspaper, who becomes the first journalist to connect the Boston Strangler murders. As the mysterious killer claims more and more victims, Loretta attempts to continue her investigation alongside colleague and confidante Jean Cole (Carrie Coon), yet the duo finds themselves stymied by the rampant sexism of the era. Nevertheless, McLaughlin and Cole bravely pursue the story at great personal risk, putting their own lives on the line in their quest to uncover the truth.
Ridley Scott, Kevin J. Walsh, Michael Pruss, Tom Ackerley, and Josey McNamara produce the film. Scott Free Productions, LuckyChap Entertainment, and 20th Century Studios collaborated on the film.
Boston Strangler is set to be released on Hulu by 20th Century Studios on March 17, 2023. Check out the poster below.
