Brad Pitt is set to star in Heart of the Beast, an action-adventure film directed by David Ayer for Paramount Pictures.
The script, written by Cameron Alexander, will see him also serving as an executive producer. Additionally, Pitt will produce the film through his production company, Plan B Entertainment.
Heart of the Beast follows a former Army Special Forces soldier (Pitt) and his retired combat dog as they struggle to survive after a plane crash in the harsh Alaskan wilderness.
The film is produced by Damien Chazelle and Olivia Hamilton under Wild Chickens Productions, as part of their first-look deal with the studio. David Ayer will produce under his Crave Films banner, with Temple Hill Entertainment also attached as producers. Richard Raymond will serve as a co-producer.
Pitt’s next film, Heart of the Beast, comes after F1, Apple’s big-budget sports action movie directed by Joseph Kosinski (Top Gun: Maverick), which Warner Bros will release in theaters on June 27.
Before that, Pitt worked with George Clooney on Wolfs, an action-comedy directed by Jon Watts. The movie premiered at the Venice Film Festival and became the most-watched feature on Apple TV+ after a limited run in theaters.
Heart of the Beast release date is TBA.
