Marvel’s ‘Captain America: Brave New World‘ official first trailer is reportedly dropping this Thursday, July 11, 2024, as confirmed by insider Daniel Richtman on his Patreon account. Are you excited for the new Captain America? The trailer will be more than 2 minutes long and include footage from the recent reshoots, which wrapped up recently.
Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Anthony Mackie describes ‘Captain America: Brave New World’ as ‘a clear reset’. Mackie said, “This movie is a clear reset. It really reestablishes the idea of what this universe is and what this universe is going to be.” Mackie added, “I think with these movies, you’re getting a clear, new branding of what Marvel is headed towards the same way they did with Captain America: The Winter Soldier.”
Julius Onah directs from a screenplay by Malcolm Spellman, Dalan Musson, and Matthew Orton. The film stars Mackie as Sam Wilson/Captain America, Danny Ramirez as Joaquín Torres/Falcon, Tim Blake Nelson as Samuel Sterns/Leader, Carl Lumbly as Isaiah Bradley, Harrison Ford as President Thaddeus Ross, Liv Tyler as Betty Ross, Shira Haas as Ruth Bat-Seraph/Sabra, Giancarlo Esposito as George Washington “G.W.” Bridge, Rosa Salazar, and Xosha Roquemore.
In a recent interview with Empire, Onah said, “The action in this movie is incredibly exciting because this is a guy who can break; this is a guy who can bleed. Onah added, “We get to have a lot of fun pushing him to the limit.”
Onah continued, “Part of the challenge for Sam as Captain America, working within the government, is the way he’s going to make decisions. The point of view he’s going to have will at times put him at odds with the President.” Onah added, “Sam finds himself almost standing between Samuel Sterns and what he thinks the government owes him and how he wants to go about getting that.”
Matthew Schmidt will serve as an editor on ‘Brave New World.’ The Russo Brothers will serve as producers on the film alongside Kevin Feige, Nate Moore, and Malcolm Spellman.
‘Captain America: Brave New World’ is coming to theaters on February 14, 2025.
