Netflix holiday rom-com ‘Meet Me Next Christmas’ Is In The Works
Christina Milian (Love Don’t Cost a Thing) and Kofi Siriboe (Queen Sugar) have joined the cast of the Netflix holiday rom-com ‘Meet Me Next Christmas.’
The film is directed by Rusty Cundieff (Chappelle’s Show) from a screenplay by Molly Haldeman and Camilla Rubis (The Neighborhood, Malibu Rescue). The plot follows Layla, a woman whose pursuit of a romance with the man of her dreams leads her on a race against time to secure tickets to the sold-out Pentatonix Christmas Eve Concert.
The film also stars Devale Ellis (Sistas), Kofi Siriboe (Queen Sugar), and Kalen Allen (An American Pickle), along with the Grammy-winning a capella group Pentatonix (Mitch Grassi, Scott Hoying, Kirstin Maldonado, Kevin Olusola, and Matt Sallee).
Meet Me Next Christmas is produced by Mark Roberts (Water and Power), with Milian, Simon Lythgoe, and Matt Code executive producing. The project will be Milian’s third collaboration with Netflix, following her popular destination romances “Resort to Love” in 2021 and “Falling Into Love” in 2019.
Christina Milian has appeared in several films and television shows. Her acting credits include roles in movies such as “Love Don’t Cost a Thing”, “Be Cool”, and “Pulse”, as well as TV shows like “Grandfathered” and “The Oath”. She also served as a host and performer on the talent show “The Voice” in the UK.
Siriboe’s breakthrough role came in 2016 when he was cast as Ralph Angel Bordelon in the Oprah Winfrey Network drama series “Queen Sugar”. His performance in the series earned him critical acclaim, and he received an NAACP Image Award nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series.
