Dakota Johnson and Sydney Sweeney‘s new set images from Sony’s Madame Web were revealed. The filming is currently happening in New York City. In the film, Johnson plays the role of Cassandra Webb a.k.a. Madame Web and Sweeney plays Julia Carpenter. The film is scheduled to hit theaters on February 16, 2024. Check out the images below.
In a new interview with Collider, Johnson said, “I guess having experience on all tiers of films I can bring maybe some stuff from the little movies to the big movies that I want to see in them, you know? I really love seeing large-scale films that still have heart in them.”
Madame Web is directed by S. J. Clarkson from a screenplay penned by Burk Sharpless and Matt Sazama. The film also stars Celeste O’Connor, Isabela Merced, Tahar Rahim, Emma Roberts, Mike Epps, Adam Scott, and Zosia Mamet.
Madame Web first appeared in The Amazing Spider-Man #210. The character created by writer Dennis O’Neil and artist John Romita Jr., Madame Web is a paralyzed, blind, telepathic, clairvoyant, and precognitive mutant.
Madame Web will hit theaters on February 16, 2024.
