The third installment in the Knives Out film series, ‘Knives Out 3,’ is set to begin filming later this year, confirmed by director Rian Johnson.
According to Deadline, Netflix plans to start production for ‘Knives Out 3’ by the end of 2024. The movie will see the return of Daniel Craig as Benoit Blanc, a private investigator who previously appeared in ‘Knives Out’ (2019) and ‘Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery‘ (2023).
In a recent interview with The Wrap before the WGA strike, Johnson gave an update on ‘Knives Out 3,’ stating that the next Benoit Blanc mystery film is in ‘full force.’ He also mentioned that an announcement about it will be coming soon from Netflix. The film’s title is yet to be confirmed.
Johnson said, “It’s coming along. I obviously couldn’t work during the strike, and now that it’s over, I’m diving in full force, and so it’s coming along. I’ve got the premise, I’ve got the setting, and I’ve got what the movie is in my head. It’s just a matter of writing the damn thing.”
Jennifer Lawrence is rumored to join the cast as the female lead.
The release date for ‘Knives Out 3’ is to be announced. Meanwhile, you can currently watch ‘Knives Out’ and ‘Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery’ on Netflix.
