Robert Downey Jr.’s Doctor Doom will reportedly have a major wizard ally by his side during the events of Avengers: Doomsday.
According to insider Daniel Richtman in a new Patreon post, “Doctor Doom’s right-hand man in Avengers: Doomsday is reportedly a wizard who can use a sling ring. He wears a mask similar to Doom’s, but with a slot for a third eye on his forehead.”
We previously reported that Doctor Doom’s right-hand man is Doctor Strange. In addition to him, Doom also has several powerful followers, including Wanda from Earth-616, Clea, a shapeshifter who takes the form of Peggy, and Master Hulk. That makes five powerful allies working alongside Doom.
In Doomsday, Doctor Strange believes the Avengers cannot stop the multiverse from collapsing. Doctor Doom offers him a plan and full control over magic, so Strange joins him and becomes his right-hand man. He helps carry out Doom’s plan, manages the Incursions, and controls the TVA. Strange focuses only on saving the multiverse, even if it means ignoring other heroes.
Strange works with Doom because he believes Doom’s plan is the only way to stop the Incursions and save the multiverse.
Avengers: Doomsday will undergo additional photography for actors who were unable to film last year. Production is set to resume in April 2026.
Directed by the Russo brothers from a screenplay by their longtime collaborator Stephen McFeely and Michael Waldron.
