Dwayne Johnson has shared a new poster for ‘Moana 2,’ the animated sequel to 2016’s Moana movie. Also, he revealed that the official trailer will be released online tomorrow.
On X Platform, Johnson shared the poster and wrote, “The ocean is calling her back. Experience the new trailer for Disney’s Moana 2 tomorrow and see the movie only in theaters on November 27, 2024! ~ Maui” You can see the poster below.
The film is written and directed by David G. Derrick Jr. (in his feature directorial debut) and is the second installment in the Moana franchise. Auliʻi Cravalho and Johnson will reprise their roles as Moana and Maui, alongside Alan Tudyk as Heihei.
During the announcement statement, Walt Disney Company CEO Bob Iger said, “Moana remains an incredibly popular franchise, and we can’t wait to give you more of Moana and Maui when Moana 2 comes to theaters this November.”
According to the official plot for ‘Moana 2,’ “After receiving an unexpected call from her wayfinding ancestors, Moana must journey to the far seas of Oceania and into dangerous, long-lost waters for an adventure unlike anything she’s ever faced.”
Recently, Johnson announced that he’s wrapped up work on Maui’s portion of ‘Moana 2’ and shared the sweet moment with his daughter on Instagram. “That’s an official wrap (for now) on MAUI’s portion of our upcoming Moana 2.”
Produced by Osnat Shurer, the film is a collaboration between Walt Disney Pictures and Walt Disney Animation Studios.
