The F4 truly convey a strong sense of unity and belonging—something fans have been waiting for—with storytelling that finally lives up to (and even exceeds) expectations.

The film opens with the line, “You all know the story.” We see a brief montage of past battles — including the Fantastic Four fighting Mole Man — followed by an action sequence featuring a battle with Red Ghost and his chimps. Back home, Sue discovers she’s pregnant. The rest of the story continues with the Silver Surfer (Julia Garner) arriving to deliver a warning to Earth.

Marvel Studios’ The Fantastic Four: First Steps introduces Reed Richards / Mister Fantastic (Pascal), Sue Storm / Invisible Woman (Kirby), Johnny Storm / Human Torch (Quinn), and Ben Grimm / The Thing (Moss-Bachrach) as they face their most daunting challenge yet. Forced to balance their roles as heroes with the strength of their family bond, they must defend Earth from a ravenous space god called Galactus (Ralph Ineson) and his enigmatic Herald, Silver Surfer (Garner). And if Galactus’ plan to devour the entire planet — and everyone on it — weren’t bad enough, it suddenly gets very personal.
