‘Eddington’ VOD Release Date Revealed

The VOD release date for Eddington has been revealed.

Eddington will be available to buy or rent on digital HD platforms such as Amazon Prime Video, iTunes, Vudu, and Google Play Movies & TV starting August 12, 2025.

The film is written and directed by Ari Aster. Set in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic in New Mexico, the film examines the political and social turmoil caused by the contested mayoral election between Sheriff Joe Cross and Mayor Ted Garcia.

In May of 2020, a standoff between a small-town sheriff (Joaquin Phoenix) and a mayor (Pedro Pascal) sparks a powder keg as neighbor is pitted against neighbor in Eddington, New Mexico. A provocative, era-defining thriller from Ari Aster (Hereditary, Midsommar) that unpacks the forces that led us to where we are today, featuring a powerhouse ensemble including Austin Butler and Emma Stone.
