Elizabeth Olsen believes her MCU character, Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch, has been well utilized in the films, and she’s open to returning. She spoke about the possibility of reprising her role as Wanda in the MCU, saying, “If there’s a good way to use her, I’m always happy to come back.”
Speaking to FM104, Olsen and Carrie Coon appeared to promote their new Netflix movie His Three Daughters. Olsen mentioned that she feels lucky her character Wanda has been well utilized in the MCU.
Olsen said, “It’s a character that I love going back to when there’s a way to use her well, and I think I have been lucky that when I started I was used well.”
When asked whether she would return as the Scarlet Witch, Olsen said that if there’s a chance to bring the character back in a meaningful way, she would be happy to be a part of it.
Olsen added, “I think people didn’t know what to do with me for a second there… If there’s a good way to use her, I’m always happy to come back.”
A recent report from The Cosmic Circus’s Alex Perez confirmed that the planned Scarlet Witch project from Marvel Studios is still in “the conceptual stage.”
At San Antonio’s Comic Con 2023, Olsen honestly admitted that she doesn’t know what’s currently happening in the MCU. “I don’t know what’s going on. Someone’s gotta catch me up. I only catch up when I sign on to do another one. Someone [fill me in], I have no idea.”
There is a possibility that the Scarlet Witch may appear in the upcoming Vision Quest series, which is currently in development.
