Emerald Fennell‘s Wuthering Heights, starring Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi, has officially begun filming.
The film is written and directed by Fennell and is based on the iconic romance novel by Emily Brontë.
Brontë’s original novel—first published in 1847—is widely regarded as one of the great works of literature. The story centers around two families—the Earnshaws and the Lintons—and the turbulent relationship they share with the Earnshaws’ foster son, Heathcliff.
In a statement, Warner Bros Motion Picture Group’s Michael De Luca and Pam Abdy said, “From the moment we were introduced to Emerald’s vision for the film, and with an incredible cast led by Margot and Jacob, we were instantly committed to forging a partnership with this team to ensure the movie was brought to theaters around the world.”
The film stars Robbie as Catherine Earnshaw, Elordi as Heathcliff, Hong Chau as Nelly Dean, Shazad Latif as Edgar Linton, and Alison Oliver as Isabella Linton.
Fennell is producing the film alongside Robbie and her LuckyChap banner, in collaboration with MRC.
Wuthering Heights is set to hit theaters on February 13, 2026, via Warner Bros. Pictures.
