The first teaser trailer for Euphoria Season 3 was screened during HBO Max’s Upfront event held today in São Paulo, Brazil.
According to Omelete, a Brazilian entertainment website, the description of the screened trailer has been revealed. In Euphoria Season 3, five years have passed for the former students of East Highland High, and life has undergone several changes for all of them.
It is revealed that Rue Bennett (Zendaya) is still using drugs and ends up being kidnapped by traffickers to whom she owes money. There are two groups of traffickers after Rue, one led by a woman and one by a man.
Nate Reacts to Cassie’s Hidden OnlyFans Content in New Teaser
In the teaser, Cassie (Sydney Sweeney) and Nate (Jacob Elordi) are engaged, and Cassie has an OnlyFans account. In one of the scenes, Sweeney’s character is shown creating adult content for her profile, and Nate is shocked when he discovers her in bed, dressed as a Playboy Bunny, taking photos.
In the teaser, Hunter Schafer is also seen reprising her role as Jules. She appears as a “sugar baby,” and Maddy (Alexa Demie) criticizes people who do that.
During an interview, Sweeney discussed Cassie Howard in Euphoria Season 3, saying:
“This version is trying to discover herself. I think she’s still trying to figure it out. Cassie might need to find God.”
During filming, Sweeney and Demie were spotted together shooting scenes for Euphoria Season 3 on Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles. The scene showed Sweeney and Demie driving a retro car filled with suitcases as they cruised up and down the boulevard.
In an interview with People, Sweeney spoke about returning as Cassie in Season 3. Sweeney said, “I’m very excited to jump back into Cassie. She is definitely one of the most special characters for me, and I love my Euphoria family, so I look forward to it,” she told the outlet. “I love crazy Cassie, so the crazier, the better for me.”
Euphoria Season 3 centers on a series of past events resurfacing in the present — primarily connected to Cal Jacobs (Eric Dane) and long-unresolved loose ends. These revelations will intertwine with the introduction of new characters in the upcoming season. Maddy (Demie) now works a night job and is dating a wealthy businessman. Rue (Zendaya) tells the story — explaining what has happened to everyone since high school.
In Season 3, Zendaya (Dune, Challengers) returns as Rue Bennett. She is joined by Schafer as Jules, Dane as Cal, Elordi as Nate, and Sweeney as Cassie. Demie (Maddy), Maude Apatow (Lexi), and Martha Kelly (Laurie) also return, with Kelly now promoted to series regular. Chloe Cherry (Faye) has also been promoted to series regular. The new cast members joining Season 3 include GRAMMY winner Rosalía, Super Bowl champion Marshawn Lynch, Darrell Britt-Gibson, Kadeem Hardison, Priscilla Delgado, James Landry Hébert, and Anna Van Patten.
Euphoria is a hit HBO series created, written, and directed by Sam Levinson. Starring Emmy winner Zendaya, the show is produced in partnership with A24. It has been nominated for 25 Emmy Awards and has won nine, including two Best Actress awards for Zendaya and one for Domingo as Best Guest Actor. Levinson also won a DGA Award for directing the Season 2 episode Stand Still Like the Hummingbird. Aside from its awards, Euphoria is one of the most-watched shows in HBO’s history.
Euphoria Season 3 will premiere on Max in 2026.
