This year’s Super Bowl is going to be epic, with major studios like Marvel Studios, DC Studios, Universal Pictures, and Paramount Pictures ready with their 2025 movie trailers.
As per reports, in Super Bowl LIX, Marvel Studios will be releasing two new trailers for their upcoming movies Thunderbolts* and The Fantastic Four: First Steps. Universal Pictures will release the first exclusive trailer for Jurassic World Rebirth, starring Scarlett Johansson, Mahershala Ali, and Jonathan Bailey, along with a new trailer for the live-action How to Train Your Dragon. Paramount Pictures will release a new trailer for Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning.
DC Studios will not release a teaser for James Gunn’s Superman at the Super Bowl; instead, they’ll debut a new sneak peek during the Puppy Bowl.
According to Deadline, Sony, Warner Bros., Netflix, Amazon MGM Studios, and Lionsgate are sitting out this year’s Super Bowl. It is also not expected that Apple Studios will have any trailers. The last time Warner Bros. made a big play during the Super Bowl was for The Flash – in 2023.
According to RelishMix, the five most-watched Super Bowl trailers on social media in the 24 hours after the game were Deadpool & Wolverine with 75.4M views and a $211.4M opening, Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes with 43.2M views and a $58.4M opening, Wicked with 40.1M views and a $112.5M opening, Twisters with 29.2M views and an $81.2M opening, and Despicable Me 4 with 27.9M views, earning $75M over three days and $122.6M over five days.
