The filming for Marvel’s ‘Thunderbolts‘ has started in Atlanta.
According to reports from Atlanta Filming, ‘Thunderbolts’ has been filming at Atlanta Metro Studios for weeks. They are currently shooting a scene where the Thunderbolts team frees the Sentry from a cage guarded by A.I.M., a villain organization.
Who is A.I.M. in Marvel Comics?
In Marvel Comics, A.I.M. stands for Advanced Idea Mechanics. It’s a villain organization primarily made up of scientists and researchers focused on technological advancements and scientific discovery. A.I.M. operates clandestinely, seeking power and influence through unethical means. They’re known for their iconic yellow jumpsuits and beekeeper-like helmets. A.I.M. often clashes with superheroes like Captain America, Iron Man, and the Avengers.
Directed by Jake Schreier and stars Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier, Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova, Wyatt Russell as John Walker/U.S. Agent, Olga Kurylenko as Antonia Dreykov/Taskmaster, David Harbour as Alexei Shostakov/Red Guardian, Hannah John-Kamen as Ava Starr/Ghost, Julia Louis-Dreyfus as Contessa Valentina Allegra de Fontaine, Harrison Ford as President Thaddeus Ross, Lewis Pullman as Sentry, and Geraldine Viswanathan as Erin. Laurence Fishburne and Rachel Weisz are confirmed to reprise their roles as scientist Bill Foster and spy Melina Vostakov.
Joanna Calo, the showrunner of ‘The Bear,’ is confirmed to be working on the script. Originally penned by Lee Sung Jin and Eric Pearson.
According to casting calls, Yelena will have Red Room flashback scenes in ‘Thunderbolts’.
