There’s a new update for Marvel’s ‘Deadpool 3‘: Daniel Radcliffe, known for his role in the Harry Potter series, has joined the cast in a “secret role,” as reported by @DanielRPK on Twitter (X).

There’s a hint about the “secret role,” suggesting that he might play Young Wolverine. In October 2022, during his appearance on The View, Radcliffe denied rumors about him playing Wolverine. He mentioned that the rumors are based on Wolverine’s height in the comics but clarified that there’s no truth to them, and he sometimes jokes about it.
Radcliffe said, “This is something that comes up every so often, I think because in the comics Wolverine is short, so every so often they’re like, ‘Who’s a short actor?’ There’s never been any actual truth to it.” he added, “Every so often I get bored of answering the questions sensibly, so I just make a joke like I did the other day, and that sort of has reignited the rumors of it, but there’s nothing going on.”
It is reported that Deadpool 3 will not be the only recipient of multiple character variations. “Different variants of Wolverine will appear in Deadpool 3.”
At the 2023 Toronto International Film Festival, during an interview about his upcoming Netflix series based on the novel ‘All the Light We Cannot See,’ Shawn Levy said that, like everyone else, he’s waited for two decades to see Wolverine in a movie with Deadpool. Levy said, “Like the rest of the world, I’ve waited two decades to see Wolverine in a whole movie with Deadpool, and I don’t know if this is our last shot at Wolverine on screen, so I was going to make goddamn sure we get the old yellow and blue just once and that we get it right.“
The film is directed by Shawn Levy. In the film, Ryan Reynolds will reprise his role as Wade Wilson/Deadpool, alongside Hugh Jackman as Wolverine, Leslie Uggams as Blind Al, Karan Soni as Dopinder, Morena Baccarin as Vanessa Carlysle, Stefan Kapičić as Piotr Rasputin/Colossus, Rob Delaney as Peter, Shioli Kutsuna as Yukio, Brianna Hildebrand as Negasonic Teenage Warhead, and new additions Emma Corrin and Matthew Macfadyen. The script is penned by Rhett Reese, Paul Wernick, Zeb Wells, Reynolds, and Levy.
According to the film’s plot: In Deadpool 3, Wade Wilson/Deadpool is arrested for time crimes involving Cable’s device in Deadpool 2. The TVA returns Cable to his original time and confiscates his time travel technology. Deadpool gets leniency and helps the TVA on a mission. Wanda’s spirit inhabits another Wanda’s body, leading to a new world where Magneto rules and mutants are the majority. Logan hijacks the TVA device to change history and ends up in different Fox worlds. Deadpool enlists Fox’s (X-men) heroes in a fight against Magneto, resulting in chaos and casualties. Wanda is depowered and banished by the TVA, and Deadpool and others are sent to the main MCU timeline. Logan searches for mutants while Deadpool finds Blind Al in his bed.
Deadpool 3 is scheduled to hit theaters on May 3, 2024.
