Exclusive: Dick Grayson, also known as Robin, is confirmed to appear in ‘The Batman: Part II.’ The sequel to Matt Reeves‘ ‘The Batman‘ will explore Grayson’s full story when he is around 13 years old, with Bruce Wayne (played by Robert Pattinson) serving as his mentor.

Pattinson recently discussed the possibility of introducing Robin in a potential ‘The Batman’ sequel during a Collider panel event. He said, “Yeah, but he has to be 13,” the star said in response to the idea of Robin joining the fray. “That’s the only way I’ll accept it. No, I love Death in the Family and stuff, but I think it’d be so cool. Also, people are so scared of it, but it’s kind of exciting. I think it would be a really fun addition.”

Who is Dick Grayson in DC Comics?

In DC comics, Dick Grayson was the original Robin, Batman’s young crime-fighting partner, and the first member of the “Batman Family.” He is a skilled acrobat, martial artist, and detective in his own right. He operates independently as a superhero in the city of Blüdhaven, although he maintains close ties with Batman and other members of the Bat-Family.

Grayson’s connection to Bruce Wayne is that he is Bruce’s adopted son and was the original Robin, Batman’s first sidekick. Bruce took in Grayson after the tragic murder of his parents, the Flying Graysons, who were circus performers. Bruce Wayne, who is secretly Batman, became Dick Grayson’s legal guardian and mentor.

‘The Batman: Part II’ is a continuation of the Batman story created by Matt Reeves, which is now officially recognized as an “epic crime saga” within The Batverse. Directed by Reeves and co-written by him and Mattson Tomlin, the film stars Robert Pattinson as Bruce Wayne/Batman, Zoë Kravitz as Selina Kyle/Catwoman, Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth, Jeffrey Wright as Jim Gordon, and Colin Farrell as Oswald Cobblepot/The Penguin. We already reported that Greig Fraser would return as cinematographer for the sequel. Read more details about the film.
