‘Godzilla x Kong: Supernova’ Test Screening Report Reveals Godzilla & Kong Unite Against SpaceGodzilla

A test screening for Godzilla x Kong: Supernova was reportedly held. Reactions are said to be mostly positive, with some negative responses.

It is confirmed that SpaceGodzilla is the main villain in the movie. The character is described as being pretty recognizable compared to the original design.

Godzilla is the main focus of the film and has the most screen time, but Kong still has more screen time compared to Godzilla’s role in 2024’s Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire.

SpaceGodzilla is created by a greater threat, which is teased at the end of the film. Despite that, SpaceGodzilla still has his own free will and is not controlled by it.

In Supernova, no Mothra, Rodan, or King of the Monsters Titans are involved. Also, there is no baby Godzilla, as previous rumors were false.

Titan Shimo is only in the movie for a few minutes, while Suko has more screen time. The tone is similar to Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire, but with much better human writing.

Godzilla’s personality is closer to 2014’s Godzilla and 2019’s Godzilla: King of the Monsters, instead of the rage-driven version he was in GvK or GxK.

Godzilla is still rocking the Evo design, but the CGI was unfinished and could be slightly altered.

SpaceGodzilla is the most powerful Titan in the MonsterVerse shown so far and keeps Godzilla and Kong on the back foot for most of their fights.

Godzilla and Kong are on good terms, so there is no fight between them.

Directed by Grant Sputore, with a screenplay by David Callaham and Michael Lloyd Green. It continues the story of Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire (2024) and stands as the sixth MonsterVerse film, the 40th Godzilla movie, and the 14th King Kong installment.

The film will feature “several new human characters alongside the beloved and iconic Titans Godzilla and Kong as they face off against a cataclysmic world-ending threat.”
