Following the success of the two films in the ‘Incredibles‘ franchise, a third installment is currently in development at Pixar Animation Studios and Walt Disney Pictures.
The report from The DisInsider Mailbag states that ‘Incredibles 3‘ and ‘Finding Nemo 3‘ are in development at both studios. An official announcement is expected soon.
The Incredibles franchise, created by Pixar Animation Studios, features films written and directed by Brad Bird. The cast includes Craig T. Nelson as Bob Parr/Mr. Incredible, Holly Hunter as Helen Parr/Elastigirl, Sarah Vowell as Violet Parr, and Samuel L. Jackson as Lucius Best/Frozone.
The first film, released in November 2004, won the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature. Its sequel, Incredibles 2, released in June 2018, received mostly positive reviews and set the record for the best opening weekend for an animated film. Together, the series has grossed $1.8 billion worldwide.
‘Incredibles 3’ is also likely to be directed by Bird and will have a big budget. Plot details are not yet revealed, but once we have them, we will update you.
