Sony’s Venom: The Last Dance has been officially rated PG-13 for “intense sequences of violence and action, bloody images, and strong language.” Following this, the insider report for the film has come out, which is said to reflect the same response received for the early reviews of Venom and Venom: Let There Be Carnage.
According to a trusted insider, Daniel Richtman, on X, he wrote that his two friends watched Venom: The Last Dance and found it to be less enjoyable than the first two Venom movies.
Richtman wrote, “I spoke to people who saw Venom 3. They enjoyed the first two movies but told me they didn’t like the third one. Take that as you will.”
The first Venom movie had a Rotten Tomatoes score of 30%—but that didn’t stop the film from being well-liked by audiences. The sequel, Venom: Let There Be Carnage, received a score of 57% on Rotten Tomatoes—so far, it seems that reviews won’t affect the Venom movies, which are known for being fun and action-packed. Venom: The Last Dance is said to be the final installment in the film series.
Kelly Marcel, who directed the first film will return to direct from a screenplay she co-wrote with Tom Hardy. It is a sequel to Venom and Venom: Let There Be Carnage. The film stars Hardy as Eddie Brock/Venom, Juno Temple, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Rhys Ifans, Peggy Lu, Alanna Ubach, and Stephen Graham.
According to director Marcel, Venom: The Last Dance is setting up Knull, even though this is Hardy’s “last time” playing Eddie/Venom. She stated, “There are many more symbiote stories — the universe is wide and rich. One movie could never do justice to Knull. God is coming.”
In Venom: The Last Dance, Tom Hardy returns as Venom, one of Marvel’s greatest and most complex characters, for the final film in the trilogy. Eddie and Venom are on the run. Hunted by both of their worlds and with the net closing in, the duo are forced into a devastating decision that will bring the curtains down on Venom and Eddie’s last dance.
Venom: The Last Dance will be released in theaters on October 25, 2024, by Sony Pictures Releasing.
