Exclusive: Liv Tyler, who played Betty Ross, a cellular scientist and Bruce Banner’s ex-girlfriend in The Incredible Hulk (2008) will reprise her role as Betty Ross, a.k.a. the Red She-Hulk in future MCU projects. According to reports, Tyler is set to appear in Captain America: New World Order alongside Anthony Mackie and Harrison Ford.
Liv Tyler Spotted Georgia
According to an exclusive source, Liv Tyler has arrived in Georgia where Captain America: New World Order is currently filming.
Harrison Ford is already confirmed to play Thaddeus Ross in Captain America: New World Order. Ross transforms into Red Hulk and is said to play the villain in the film. Betty Ross, Ross’ daughter, is likewise infected by the Hulk serum and dies, but she surprisingly turns into the Red She-Hulk.
Who Is Red She-Hulk In Marvel Comics?
In Marvel Comics, Betty Ross, also known as Red She-Hulk, is a recent Marvel villain and foe of the Hulk. Like Red Hulk, she is a “bad” version of She-Hulk, but her powers work differently, and she has striking red skin instead of gamma-mutates’ green skin. Betty found that her long relationship with the Hulk had led her to die from gamma radiation poisoning. After suffering a crushing defeat at the hands of the Hulk, Abomination learned of Betty’s condition and used his own gamma-radiated blood for the transfusion, sickening her and eventually killing her.
It’s surprising that Liv Tyler is returning to the MCU after 15 years. After the death of Natasha (Black Widow), Bruce is reconciling with her ex-girlfriend. Tyler has also appeared in feature films such as Super (2010), Space Station 76 (2014), Wildling (2018), and Ad Astra (2019).
Captain America: New World Order will hit theaters on May 3, 2024.
