At the Sony Pictures presentation, they will screen the first ‘Madame Web’ trailer, offer a sneak peek at the ‘Ghostbusters’ sequel, show a new trailer for ‘The Book of Clarence,’ and unveil the new title for ‘Venom 3.’
Sony Pictures will join other major studios in a presentation at ShowEast 2023. The D-BOX team will be in Miami, Florida, from October 23rd to 26th for this event, which features film screenings, sponsored events, and the ShowEast expo. It brings movie industry leaders together to shape the future of cinema.
‘Venom 3’ is directed by Kelly Marcel from a screenplay she co-wrote with Tom Hardy. The film is a sequel to Venom and Venom: Let There Be Carnage. The film stars Hardy as Eddie Brock/Venom and Juno Temple is the only confirmed cast member as of now. Filming began in June 2023 in Los Mateos, Cartagena, Spain, but was briefly paused due to the SAG-AFTRA strike. It will resume once the strike ends. In an interview with Collider, Marcel described ‘Venom 3’ as “going to be amazing.”
The plot of the film revolves around Venom and Toxin, who find themselves being pursued by the government. In order to combat the Xenophage, a genetically engineered symbiote killer that has gone rogue, Venom and Toxin are forced to unite and fight together.
Produced by Avi Arad, Matt Tolmach, Amy Pascal, Hutch Parker, Marcel, and Hardy. The film is part of Sony Pictures’ Spider-Man cinematic universe, which is separate from the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), which focuses on characters such as Spider-Man.
Venom 3 is scheduled to be released in theaters on November 8, 2024, by Sony Pictures Releasing.
