The Marvel’s The Fantastic Four: First Steps cast—Vanessa Kirby, Pedro Pascal, Joseph Quinn, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach—appeared at the CCXP panel in Mexico City. On stage, Marvel presented exclusive footage from the film, featuring Sue Storm going into labor on the Fantastic Four spaceship while Shalla-Bal / Silver Surfer chases after them, intent on capturing the newborn. Reed then orders Ben to take them into a black hole.

The Fantastic Four members are inside their spaceship, and Sue (Kirby) is starting to go into labor. But Shalla-Bal / Silver Surfer (Julia Garner) is chasing them. Ben (Moss-Bachrach) takes over the ship and tries to dodge her. They jump into a kind of hyperspace. The CGI is great. We see Reed (Pascal) stretching and using his powers.
Shalla-Bal almost reaches Sue’s belly—she wants the baby. Johnny (Quinn) takes over the ship’s cannons and tries to shoot the Surfer. He makes jokes about her being sexy. Meanwhile, Sue continues to have contractions. Reed tells Ben to go into a black hole. Ben gets worried. Reed tells him to trust. End of scene.
On the Omelete Stage at CCXP MX 2025, Quinn confirmed that Mole Man will be a villain in The Fantastic Four: First Steps.

Forced to balance their roles as heroes with the strength of their family bond, they must defend Earth from a ravenous space god called Galactus (Ralph Ineson) and his enigmatic Herald, Silver Surfer (Garner). And if Galactus’ plan to devour the entire planet — and everyone on it — weren’t bad enough, it suddenly gets very personal.

Most recently, The Fantastic Four: First Steps held a test screening, and details have leaked online. The entire film focuses on the Fantastic Four grappling with the inevitability of their extinction. Ineson’s Galactus is considered the highlight of the movie — he has an incredible sense of scale and looks like he was pulled straight from the comics. Also, the post-credits scene is connected to Avengers: Doomsday.
The Fantastic Four: First Steps has a runtime of 2 hours and 10 minutes. Tickets go on sale June 4 at 6 AM PT / 9 AM ET. The film hits theaters and IMAX on July 25, 2025.
